International tutorials on how to install Windows 10 correctly!
WINGUIDER (SHORT FOR WINDOWS GUIDES) IS A IT-PROFESSIONAL WHO HELPS REGULAR PEOPLE TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THEIR PC´S.
I have chosen to specialize in Windows. Started as a consultant at EDS, has since 2000 worked with IT-security, managed anti-virus and web filtering, etc. at a Swedish authority!
Working "hand on" with all types of viruses, Trojans, network worms, etc. quickly teaches you that the most important protection against all types of infection and attack is to always use the computer as the "default user". Logging in with your computer's Admin account is exactly what all attackers want, as their contagion, script and take extra advantage of "inheriting" the user's administrative permissions.
Users who always sign in with the Admin account give all attackers the right to do "anything," which the malware-creators thank you for..
When you stop logging in with an administrator account will prevents almost all infections from "biting" properly in to your computer.. and any infection will then be very easy to clean/remove..
This is exactly what has always been done in Linux and Mac, which is why they are considered "safer" than a Windows computer..
Unfortunately, Microsoft has created an installation process where ignorant people are tricked into always signing in with the computer's only admin account.. This happens at the end of the installation process when Windows tricks you into "sign in with your Microsoft account".
This, the 1st account created in Windows, always becomes member of the Administrators-group thus the user is fooled to always sign in with the PC´s only Administrators-account.
This is unfortunate, since every piece of code the user runs into, are always run with the user own RIGHTS (Admin-rights in this case). NOTE! This also applies to MALWARE. These right gives the malware the ability to RUIN your computer system!
To follow the BEST PRACTICE this 1:st account should have been created automatically, just like in a WinGuider installation, and named: PCAdmin, for simplicity (just like in a WinGuider installation).
The user only uses the PCAdmin account to 1: run Windows update, 2: install any drivers, 3: create a user account for themselves and possibly others who might use the computer (The WinGuider help-files creates all these accounts AUTOMATICALLY, so you don´t have to!)
When the user logs on to their user account, this ensures that the performance of the computer is maintained, the computer becomes incredibly stable (=very few blue screens and sudden restarts) while the computer's built-in security features are more able to help prevent malware-infections, attacks and IF there are several different user accounts on the computer, then each account's files, logins, emails, etc. are protected from the curiosity of other users.
